finally! internet radio via cell-phone
Finally!!! I can take my pick from any number of on-line radiostations and listen to all of that streaming LIVE through my phone!
and, in my car, of course connect it to the audio-in jack that I had installed a while ago

All I needed was to know how much my provider (T-mobile) would charge me for unlimited data use and figure out how to un-brand my Nokia 6301 so that it allows Java applications to access the internet (yes, by default, T-mobile puts this software on a lot of their phones that will block Java apps from accessing the web... so, no Gmail app, no Google maps, of course no internet radio...)..
after searching around on howardforums.com for a while, I found a way to 'flash' my phone back to the original Nokia software that was intended by Nokia to be on this phone...
and now, voila, all the Java apps can access the internet, and I can listen to 'Echo of Moscow' live in my car at any time!!!

here's the Java app for listening to radio (it's free) -
http://www.vradio.org

their list of Russian-language stations:
http://www.vradio.org/radiostations.php?id=74 (slow streams, for those like me who have a phone only capable of supporting Edge network traffic)
http://www.vradio.org/radiostations.php?id=73 (fast streams, for those with 3G (or wi-fi) enabled phones)

for those with i-phones, this app will do the job as well - "FStream" from "Apple Store" (it's free)

Yes! I'm planning to drive home now listening to Silver Rain http://www.silver.ru/ live stream!!

ans also for those that are interested - I emailed vradio.com to also add my children's radio station so when we're driving in the car with Yashka, we can listen to mommy's own radio station with songs :))
